WHY PAT TEST?The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 require that any electrical equipment that has the potential to cause injury is maintained in a safe condition. While the regulation does not specify exactly what needs to be done the most effective way to ensure that these regulations are met is through PAT testing. In addition your insurer may also require you to undertake annual PAT testing to maintain valid public and employer liability cover.
